Last Night of the Proms for the Royal Wedding

What a great night we had this evening playing a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ style concert at St Leonard’s Church in Loftus to celebrate the Royal Wedding!

Such a great audience to play for and it was fantastic getting everyone involved in clapping along and flag waving to make the night even more special.

We would like to say a massive well done to our two soloists for the night. Our flugel player Diane did a fantastic job playing Wild Mountain Thyme and our youngest player Rachael, who is nearly 15 years old was marvelous in her rendition of Rule Britannia.

We also had a special guest, Rob Fielden from Guisborough Sea Cadets, who requested to play a few pieces on the bag pipes. This was a great addition to the concert programme and everyone enjoyed it.
